Meijer Capri Sun Deal

After visiting two stores, I was finally able to get the great deal on Capri Sun at Meijer. They are on sale right now for $1.77 each. BUT if you purchase 8 in one transaction you will get an extra $8 off automatically at check-out. This brings the cost down to $0.77 each. I purchased a total of 16 boxes for a total of $10.94! No coupons are needed; however, I was able to use a MPerks coupon for $2 off any purchase of $2 or more to sweeten the deal. I think that I have a great stockpile for school lunches established.

DQ Miracle Treat Day

Today was DQ Miracle Treat Day. After a great first day of school, we took our girls to DQ tonight for a treat. With each blizzard purchased today at participating stores, $1 or more is donated to the Children's Miracle Network. I love getting a great deal or just about anything for free, but sometimes things are worth the price of admission.

School Supplies Deals

My daughters start school next week. I don't know about your school system where you live but I'm starting to feel like I need to take out a second mortgage to purchase supplies. I planned to go shopping this morning to get the rest of our needed supplies, then a brilliant thunderstorm erupted in our area keeping us inside. The upside to this was that I had the time to look for the best deals. I came across a post on Pocket Your Dollars. There is a great comparison chart available on the site. Look it over and plan out your shopping before leaving home and without having to scan the internet. I have to get 32 glue sticks, and I only have two children!

Here I Go Again...

I just discovered that my last blog post was in July 2010! I apologize for just dropping off the face of the blogosphere. Both of my kids are starting school next week (my youngest starts Kindergarten), and I am trying to think of things to keep myself on a schedule. I will volunteer at their school, I already oversee the outreach team at my church, and do most things for our household. I think that I should have extra time to myself to devote to couponing more and on a regular basis which led me to think that I can get back to blogging regularly. If anyone is out there and still following me, please leave a comment and let me know. Keep me accountable and I'll encourage you too! It's a new month so it's time to sort through the coupon stacks and take out the expired ones. Start printing the new ones too. The pic shows my stacks of mostly outdated and disorganized coupon inserts. I hope to attack that sometime soon too! Don't feel that you're the only ones I have neglected in the past year...I have a stack of school photos of the kids from last year that I never sent out to family! It might be a wise idea to get those out before this year's photos are taken. My oldest has lost a few more teeth since those were taken.
